"One Track Minds" is a small like minded group of railway modellers based in and around Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk UK. We have members in Norfolk and almost Essex as well as Suffolk.
We took our name from a similar group based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Our group has many different railway interests and was formed to share ideas and also try out new modelling theories whilst supporting each other in our chosen hobby. Some of our members have their own exhibition layouts to which some of the members contribute towards.
We do not have a club room, but instead meet at members homes, hold at least a quarterly modelling day in a local village hall (Saturday 1000 - 1600) and take trips out to sites of railway interest. We meet usually on the 1st Wednesday evening of the month from 1930 - 2200 except when we are holding another event in that month.
The interests of the group are varied in both scales and railways. Our group model in scales from 0 gauge, 7mm NG, through S Scale, EM, OO, H0, 009 to N. The railways include UK, American, Tramways, French, Belgium, Holland and New Zealand.
We all say that Railway Modelling is fun!
